Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Net Worth Falls to 0 Million as Legal Battles Reshape His Empire

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ net worth has dropped to an estimated $400 million, a steep decline from the roughly $900 million figure he was reported to have reached at his peak in 2020. The fall follows a series of business losses, legal fees, and asset sales tied to his criminal conviction and ongoing civil litigation.

Combs, 56, is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

How Combs Lost His Billionaire Status

Combs’ financial peak came around 2020, when Celebrity Net Worth estimated his fortune at just under $900 million. That figure was driven largely by his lucrative liquor partnership with Diageo, which covered Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila.

The Diageo relationship ended in January 2024 after lawsuits were settled. As part of the resolution, Diageo acquired the remaining 50 percent of DeLeón in a transaction valued at approximately $223 million, including transaction costs. Combs no longer has any business relationship with either Cîroc or DeLeón.

In June 2024, Combs sold his majority stake in Revolt TV, removing another significant income stream. The company confirmed that shares held by Combs were fully redeemed and retired, leaving him with zero equity in the network he founded. His Sean John fashion line had already declined after Macy’s ended its exclusive deal in late 2023.

Miami Mansion Sells for $55 Million

Combs has continued to liquidate assets while incarcerated. In July 2026, he sold his Miami mansion on Star Island for $55 million, earning an estimated $20 million profit. He had purchased the property from Gloria and Emilio Estefan in 2021 for around $35 million.

The off-market transaction was completed through Combs’ company, 1 West Star Island LLC. The buyer was JFStar LLC, led by Virginia Beach businessman John A. Franklin. The sale experienced a brief delay after the buyer filed a lawsuit over a missed closing deadline in May 2026, but the dispute was resolved through mediation.

Combs still owns the neighboring property at 2 Star Island Drive, the larger estate that was raided by federal agents in March 2024 during the investigation that led to his trial.

Private Jet Generated Millions Before Sale

One of Combs’ most profitable assets during his incarceration was his Gulfstream G550 private jet. The aircraft, nicknamed LoveAir, generated more than $4 million in charter revenue before he sold it in October 2025.

The jet was managed by Silver Air, a luxury charter company, and was listed on platforms including Victor and Jettly. It completed at least 126 charter trips between September 2024 and May 2025, covering nearly 150,000 miles.

Charter customers paid an average of approximately $32,597 per flight. A return trip from Los Angeles to New York was estimated at around $116,681, while a transatlantic flight from Van Nuys to London could cost more than $432,000.

Legal Bills and Forfeiture Risks

Combs’ legal defense has consumed millions. According to court filings, his civil attorney Michael Tremonte sought to withdraw from representing Combs in a defamation case, claiming Combs owed substantial unpaid legal fees and had failed to cooperate for months.

In October 2026, Combs was ordered to pay NBCUniversal nearly $500,000 in legal fees while behind bars.

His indictment included a forfeiture action that could have resulted in the loss of nearly his entire net worth if he had been convicted on the racketeering charge. Because he was acquitted on that count, he is not likely to forfeit his fortune.

His 50-month sentence was handed down in October 2025. Federal prosecutors had initially sought four to five years and later amended their recommendation to more than 11 years. His lawyers requested a 14-month sentence accounting for time already served.

What Assets Remain

Despite the setbacks, Combs retains a valuable music catalog and publishing rights. He continues to own the Sean John brand, which he repurchased from bankruptcy in 2021. He also still owns the Star Island property at 2 Star Island Drive and entities associated with Bad Boy Entertainment.

His net worth remains estimated at $400 million by multiple outlets, though some earlier reports placed it as low as $300 million.

Over 50 civil lawsuits remain pending or are expected against Combs. Legal experts note that criminal convictions increase the success rate of civil claims because civil suits require only a preponderance of evidence rather than proof beyond reasonable doubt.

Combs is enrolled in Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Programme, which can reduce an inmate’s sentence by up to a year if completed successfully. His projected release date is February 2028, though a recent disciplinary infraction stripped 41 days of good conduct time, pushing the date to March 2028.
